A logo is an essential part of a brand’s identity, but it’s just one piece of the puzzle. While a new logo can refresh a brand’s look and feel, it’s not enough to truly impact a brand’s success. A logo alone won’t address underlying issues such as inconsistent messaging, poor customer service, or outdated products or services.
A brand is a holistic representation of a company’s values, personality, and reputation and it encompasses everything from visual elements like logos, colors and fonts, to verbal and experiential elements like messaging, customer interactions and overall brand strategy.
Without a comprehensive approach that addresses all aspects of a brand, simply changing a logo is unlikely to result in significant and sustained positive change. A brand’s success relies on a multi-faceted approach that takes into account the entire brand ecosystem, from internal culture and processes to external communications and customer experiences.
Well, yes, my friends. Logo design is part of what I do. But if you come to me for a new logo, I’m going to recommend that you get…
BRANDING
And here’s your why.
Your audience will remember the overall experience they have when interacting with your business. They’ll remember how you made them feel. And that’s what keeps them coming back for more, not your pretty logo.
So how do you create that feeling for your customer?
By creating a brand.
A brand, by definition, “is the promise you make to your customers. More specifically, your brand is the set of emotions and perceptions that you intentionally cultivate around your business, which you constantly communicate to your customers through a series of visual and verbal cues.”
The other thing branding does is help you get clear in your business. You have been hard at work getting your business off the ground, and now it’s time to get clarity on your customer and your overall branding.
Having a full branding package takes the guesswork out of day-to-day design decisions or how to show up to your customers. I don’t know about you, but when I feel clear, I take pointed action toward my goals. There’s no overwhelm or roadblocks or excuses. You actually may even feel inspired!
When we go through the branding process together, you get the tools you need to create a clear and consistent vision across print and digital platforms.
Here’s how it works:
Strategy Session
We do a brand strategy session where we talk through business goals. You fill out an in-depth questionnaire so we can get clarity on your company’s target market, personality, and style. This is what I call the “Brand Soul.” It’s the foundation of your business and dictates how you show up to your customers.
Brand Mood Board
I then create a delicious mood board based on market research I did for you. This is the visual inspiration that shows the overall look and feel of your brand and dictates the logo design, colors and brand design elements.
Full Logo Suite
You then get a full logo suite of three logos – a primary or main logo, a secondary or alternate logo, and a sub mark or brand icon. Different layouts allow you to have a go-to logo for every situation you encounter in your business, whether you need a logo for a business card or a billboard or even social media.
Defined Color Palette
You get a color palette with all the color numbers you could ever need to use for your website, to send to your printer, etc. No more ‘what color blue did I use again?’
Font Combinations
Along with everything else, we’ll come up with font pairings for your brand, so that your headings and body copy stay consistent across all platforms. Again, no more confusion as to what font to pick for your website or marketing materials!
Branded Design Pieces
You’ll receive three custom-designed pieces for your business. Let’s put that branding to work! You can choose from designs such as a business card, postcard/info card, three branded social templates, a PDF design (welcome sheet, price list, sales sheet, etc.), an email newsletter template, promotional swag (t-shirt, hoodie, etc), letterhead, or packaging design.
On our strategy call, we’ll discuss what is best for your business right now and for your future goals.
Branding Guide
Lastly, you get a full branding guide to refer to for every future design decision. It’s a guide that not only gives you design guidelines so you never have to pick another random color again but also a guide to refer to when selling to your customer, a way to stay authentic to your brand in how you show up.
And you walk away feeling like a boss!
